Tried twice to launch this app and waiting for the verification text and it never comes. I know the phone number is correct because I can check it on the web. Cant use app because text never comes.
Just downloaded this. So many mistakes! Doesnt know preset costs Ive already put in online. It isnt accurately reflecting the guest count in comparison to the email.
DO NOT HOST HERE!!! My house was robbed and home away does nothing about it. They do kot collect the identification of the guests. The only they take is an email which anyone can make up!!! Stick to air bnb its a lot safer and ive had no problems with them!!
I have had this for one year. I was extremely happy until they upgraded the app. Now I get logged out constantly. I dont get timely notifications of inquiries. Ive lost multiple bookings due to these bugs. Even the app times an owners response and councils user on the importance of timely responses. I also dont care for the change that adds the fee to to guests charges. This in effect lowers the owners take. I liked the annual fee much better.
This app is a sorry attempt to keep up with Airbnb. Its dysfunctional and lacks all the tools needed to manage a listing on the app. Not to mention the Airbnb community just feels more of a collective than this Homeaway/VRBO. Very much considering pulling my listing and just using Airbnb.
This app does not compare to the Airbnb app. I am trying to use Homeaway as an alternative to Airbnb. The fact that I cannot change pricing on my calendar is ridiculous. For the sake of keeping your user base, you should make some adjustments right away as opposed to saying that it is "coming soon".
I want to give this five stars but almost every time I open this stupid app it asks for total login. Username and password. This is infuriating when you quickly need to check or add something while youre out. There you are fiddling away on the phone trying to quickly login or worse trying to madly remember your blasted password when all you want to do is check arrival date of a guest or something. For the love of Pete, Homeaway .... SORT THIS OUT !!
If Expedias goal was to dismantle the competition, the they have succeeded in destroying a great app. Congratulations!
As a property manager, I used to get most of my business through Homeaway. Over the past few years they have not only stagnated, but have gotten way worse. Both travelers and owners are keen to their blatant and obscene money grab. As a result I get less business and pay more in fees. Airbnb is light years ahead of HomeAway with their app and website, less fees, and better service. If HA had focused on making a better product for hosts instead of trying to take over the entire industry, they might still have a good reputation. Still no way to edit your listing rates? An amateur programmer could put together a better app! HA is dead to me.
Great idea, poorly executed and very poor support. Nobody to help with even basic questions. Reported bugs go un-acknowledged and unfixed for weeks.
Current version wont permit going past authentication screen. Get code via text, enter it, get asked to get a new code... never-ending circle! Buggy...
Tool has worked without any bugs or issues for the last 3 months. I manage my property from my phone. However when i compare with Airbnb or Tripadvisor apps, it misses important functionalities like adjusting pricing, seeing your stats, previewing your listing and some other important functionalities.
The new Home Owner App is terrible. It keeps asking for password over and over again. Ive even deleted and reinstalled to try and correct this problem but it will NOT connect you to the owners site. Its a nightmare and I dont have time for this !!!!
Terrible app. I can see my conversations, but am unable to view my calendar or listing. When I try to view properties from the calendar screen, I only get a blank popup box. For someone who relies on their phone to manage bookings, this app is totally useless.

App works well for ownership. Few glitches now and then but overall works well.

I am new to the vacation rental business. I have known about Airbnb for about 4 years now and have had great experiences with them. Now that I am a host, I appreciate them even more. This app is utterly worthless not even worth one star. I too am thinking of not dealing with the headache that VRBO has seem to become.
Someone is milking the Vrbo brand name into oblivion. 1. Still no ability to review guests. 2. No insurance like airbnb. 3. Bad glitchy software dumping my emails and placing new ones down the list so I miss them. 4. New fees? For what added value? Was already behind Airbnb for service features. I will not be renewing. I have already let 3/4 of my listings expire and looking for other rental venues.
